Kitchen Remodel

We thought it would be fun to share a recent project of ours with you, despite the fact that we played such a small part in the remodel. However, what we lacked in actual labor, we made up for with our great referrals from other trades, which helped one of our favorite customers (my mom) transform her kitchen into exactly what she envisioned when she bought this house a few years ago with this remodel!

Here are the BEFORE photos of her very dated 80's cabinets with 4x4 white ceramic tile countertops. She was not crazy about the peninsula and wanted to get rid of it to open up her space, as she was also looking to lighten her whole kitchen area.

Our first referral was a great demo team (which we try to use on all of our own projects) to tear out her countertops, as well as a top notch plumber to remove and replace her beautiful cast iron sink. Sometimes our customers are surprised at the numerous "parts" of a remodel that the popular HGTV shows don't really have time to showcase.

Next was the installation of the gorgeous Quartz slab my mom selected, which she purchased from Emser Tile. We had a great slab installer to refer her to and it was an amazing transformation
within itself!

Finally, it was our turn to step in to install a beautiful backsplash with the tile she picked out, Motif Bone 4x12, also from Emser. With all these neutral and light colors, her kitchen was really starting to lighten up!

We also had to step in to match and replace this gap in her flooring after her peninsula was removed.

Last but not least, we sent my mom a painter who is a long time friend of ours to paint her cabinets! She found some nice updated hardware that the painter was able to install and couldn't believe her eyes when the entire project was complete!

With her peninsula gone, she had room to create a sweet little breakfast nook, and plans to make some cute curtains for her windows to add a pop of color.

If you are looking for any of the other trades we've mentioned today (Plumbing, Slab installation, Demolition, Painting) and/or if you would like an estimate from Flooring Direct Temecula, don't hesitate to give us a call! We love connecting our customers with the right contractors to help them achieve their house goals!
